Your job

As a Strategy Consultant in Accenture’s Amsterdam-based Aviation (Travel & Logistics) team, you will dive into the complex, dynamic and – most importantly – international world of air cargo transport.

Our Aviation (Travel & Logistics) team’s unique approach combines strategic thinking with data-driven analytics and blends consulting professionals with seasoned aviation experts. You will assist top-tier clients (e.g. leading airlines and major airports) across the globe on a broad range of topics, including understanding market trends, defining a strategic direction, making network and fleet decisions or developing a sustainability roadmap. With many of our clients located across the globe, international travel on your projects is highly likely.

The consulting group is a close-knit team committed to having fun while delivering high impact results for our clients. As a consultant you will be a key member of our project teams, and will typically work with a project manager and 1-3 other analysts and/or consultants on assignments typically ranging from 4-12 weeks. Your day-to-day activities could include drawing up project hypotheses, performing market/client data analysis, building detailed financial/operational/optimization models or evaluating improvement initiatives. You will also summarize your findings into presentations, to be given both internally and to the client.

Part of your time will also be invested into contributing to thought leadership topics developed within our team. Frequent feedback after projects coupled with regular interactions with your career counsellor (mentor) will help personalize the pace and direction of your growth journey.

Your background

• Master’s University degree with a strong academic record from a top tier institution, combined with a proven track record in extracurricular and professional endeavors

• 2-4 years of relevant work experience in either strategy consulting or the aviation / logistics industry

• Exceptional conceptual, analytical and presentation skills. Experience in data analysis techniques (e.g. Excel, PowerBI, Python, SQL) is a plus

• Fluent speaker and communicator in English, mastering Dutch is optional

• Affinity with aviation and/or logistics is a help, but not a must

• Either based in The Netherlands, or willing to relocate to The Netherlands

• Willing to travel internationally
